Louis-Frédérik Hamelin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science from Université Laval (2010). He began his professional career as an actuary, working for five years in the fields of insurance and occupational health prevention mutuals (CSST, now CNESST), where he developed strong expertise in risk analysis, financial modeling, and structured decision-making.

In 2012, he developed a growing interest in the mobile device industry and identified an opportunity to build a more structured and professional wholesale supply network. This vision led him to found BMC Wholesale in 2015, with a focus on reliable supply, transparent business practices, and long-term partnerships with professional buyers.

Under his leadership, BMC Wholesale has grown into a trusted wholesale supplier of mobile devices, working with over 100 partners and companies across the industry. By distributing more than 50,000 devices annually, the company supports resellers, repair shops, and retailers with consistent inventory, competitive wholesale pricing, and a strong commitment to professional service.
